Emulating of non MSX systems

Like I said I don't object to use emulators within reason. The original Spy Hunter
I use emulators to run games I wouldn't be able to run anymore otherwise.
For example one of my all-time favorite games in the arcade halls were Bombjack and Spyhunter.
I'm not able to play them anymore, there is not even one arcade here in Belgium that has one of those. I even called some dealers to find out if by any chance they had a second hands machine for me. Well, they hadn't So without emulation there would be no change for me to enjoy those games.
The same thing could be told for my Megadrive, I still have my system but my controller seems to get old, from time to time my controllerpad doesn't respond anymore. And because Sega declared in 1998 the megadrive dead, there is no place were I can buy a new Sega 6 button controllerpad anymore. I went to several second hand shops also.
Sega 3 button controllers ? Yes, they have them.
SNES controllers ? No problem, plenty in stock.
PSX controllers ? With abundance available.
Sega 6 button controllers ? No sorry can't help you.
So for the moment there is no way for me to play my favorite Sega cartridge anymore : Eternal Champions. Hey, even the genesis emulators aren't perfect enough to run this one in full emulation mode. More popular games seem be be at a perfect emulation level though, like the Sonic games. So there I am, I 'm a rightful owner of the console and the cartridge, but I can't play them anymore. So my only hope is that someday someone will perfectionate the emulators enough so that I can play the games I love again. You are my only hope, Obi-Sega-emulation-kanobi.

I do however object to some forms of emulation.
I don't mind neo-geo emulation but I do mind for example the fact that you are already able to find King Of Fighters '99 for those emulators. The game is brand new, is still in production and there certainly isn't an excuse available as if its abandon-ware. While most emulation of old stuff still is a fact of piracy (that arguably doesn't hurt industry) this definitely is piracy that hurts the industry. Remember that without that same industry there was nothing to emulate neither so it's totally wrong to commit grand theft on this level. Pay tribute to them and only start emulating it when it becomes clear that they don't care commercially anymore for that product-as-is. (They still may be interested in it for porting reasons to other platforms)

These are the covers I made for my collection of (arcade) emulators.
I spend some hours dumping screenshots in the emulator and
I used The Gimp to combine them in one nice picture.

Ofcourse you can find good covers on the Net also

The weird thing here is that they use
screenshots of some not yet
emulated Capcom games ?!

I also have collected a lot of neo-geo roms to be used with (x)mame I created a simple front cover in the gimp. And used half of a frontcover that I found on the Net to be used as backcover.
